Continuing with my Matthew Reilly read-a-thon, I read Ice Station, the first book in the Scarecrow series.
To be honest, I am still very glad that I read Contest first. Military or War themed books are really not normally my thing (nor are movies, they give me nightmares). But having read Contest first, and enjoying Matthew Reilly’s writing style, I figured they were worth a try.
This book is definitely fast paced, to say the least. Sometimes it is almost a struggle to keep up with which character is where, or even who is still alive… but I loved the way the book took you on a whirlwind adventure.
